Physical Requirements:Standing or walking with objects up to 50 lbs; sitting at computer workstation for extended periods; repetitive motion. May be exposed to loud noises, fumes, confined spaces, and/or temperature extremes while reviewing a job-site locations or in storage warehouse.
Shift:7:00 am – 4:00 pm; (Monday – Friday)
Hours of work may vary depending upon situational factors. Time beyond standard working times may be required for conducting public auctions or executing special projects.
This is a great opportunity to join the University of Kentucky Surplus Property team as a Surplus Property Associate!
In this position, you will ensure that surplus property check-ins and check-outs are accurate and properly documented and will stock and monitor surplus inventory to offer an organized, retail “like” environment for our internal customers.
- assist in all auction prep needs and in Gov Deals postings, including answering questions and confirming auction requirements are being met.
- have up-to-date and working knowledge of all surplus policies and procedures
- check equipment daily for safety requirements
- complete daily spreadsheet of surplus intake
- ensure all documentation is filed properly and organized
- assist in training of other staff on surplus operations
- provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
- maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- perform other duties as assigned
