Registered Nurse (RN) and must advance on UKHC Nursing Professional Advancement ( NPA ) within 6 months of hire and annual resubmission required throughout employment in this job title.
Physical Requirements
The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.
Job Summary
Pediatric Specialty Clinic is seeking a Nurse Team Leader to manage nursing teams with the divisions of Pediatric BMI Clinic, Pediatric Infectious Disease, and Pediatric Psychology Clinic.
This position will manage daily clinic flow, provide direct patient care, as well as day to day oversight of nursing and clinical staff. In addition, this position will work closely with the division chief and providers to create, maintain, and implement clinical protocols and procedures to ensure continuity of care.
The Nurse Team Lead works closely with the Practice Manager and Nurse Clinical Manager to operationalize ambulatory clinic issues, nursing directives, scheduling templates, protocols, and staffing models.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Basic computer knowledge, MS Windows, Word, Outlook, and clinical applications. Supervisor experience is preferred but not required.
