American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Stepdown night shift position requiring Level I trauma facility experience and KY or compact licensure.

• Progressive Care/Stepdown unit within a hospital setting
• Med/Surg patient population in a stepdown environment
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to other universal/progressive care areas within the health system
• No block scheduling available
• 14-week contract

• Active KY or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience at a Level I trauma facility
• Experience required in: progressive care (PC), acute care (AC), telemetry, and Med/Surg
• Two supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
• Clean licensure history required — no licensure hits will be accepted

• Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission — RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
• Requests for full weeks off between May and August will not be approved
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
