American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an ICU position requiring strong neuro experience, previous travel experience, and night shift availability.
Details- ICU setting within a hospital environment
- Neurosurgical and multi-system patient population, including post-craniotomy, post-thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, fempops, and CEA patients
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1–2+
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- 3–4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
- Active KY or Compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
- Strong neuro experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency in airway management, vented patient management, central line management, arterial line management, and IV drip management
- Experience with dysrhythmia management and interpretation, ABG interpretation, continuous IV sedation, and titration of IV vasopressors
- Experience with management of patients with multi-system organ dysfunction/failure
- Experience with isolation precautions
- Proficiency with computerized documentation
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Care for complex neuro and surgical ICU patients including post-craniotomy, post-thoracic, neurosurgical, fempop, and CEA cases
- Responsibilities include titration of IV vasopressors and continuous IV sedation management
