- Provide total, comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered care for Adult Medicine Services patients who are moderately stable with fluctuating acuity and complex needs.
- Assess, document, plan, implement, teach, develop, and evaluate a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Deliver direct patient care and ensure patient satisfaction.
- Train and delegate duties for Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistants).
- Adhere to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to improve communication and enhance patient outcomes.
- Utilize the nursing process within a comprehensive patient-centered plan of care to ensure patient satisfaction.

ADN. - Required Related
Experience:
No experience required. - License/Registration/Certification:
Active Kentucky RN license, Temporary Work Permit (TWP), Provisional License or active compact state RN license in good standing;
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers valid for at least 6 months after employment date. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds daily and 25-50 pounds frequently; ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods; potential exposure to communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and injury from sharp instruments. - Preferred Education/
Experience:
BSN + at least 1 year of RN experience preferred. - Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No.
Must be able to work two 12-hour shifts every weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday), from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, work 24 hours, and receive pay and benefits as part of the Weekend Premium Plan (WEPP). May be required to work some holidays.
