Required License/Registration/Certification: Active KY or compact state RN license in good standing plus American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider valid for at least 6 months from hire date.

Shift: Shifts start times are 7a, 11a, 3p or 7p. Shift time availability/preference will be discussed during the interview. Must be able to work three, 12-hour shifts per week including weekends and holidays. No swing shifts or set schedules.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe Chandler Emergency Department consists of 5 different areas where care is provided: triage; chair centric and express care for low acuity patients that can be seen and discharged within 60 minutes; acute care area (16 beds) for common emergency complaints; critical care area (8 beds) for critically ill or post-resuscitation patients; and UK Level I Trauma Center with 8 beds for the most complex injuries.
Primary responsibilities: provide total, comprehensive, continuous and patient-centered care, including assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating a comprehensive nursing plan of care; deliver direct patient care; ensure patient satisfaction; train and delegate duties for Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistants); adhere to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations. Foster collaboration among nursing staff and physicians to improve communication and outcomes.
Utilize the nursing process in conjunction with a comprehensive patient-centered plan of care to ensure patient satisfaction.
