Staffing Details- Grade 10
- Full‑Time, 12‑hour night shifts (7 PM–7:30 AM, 36 hrs week)
- Shift requirements include weekend and holiday coverage
$28.00‑$39.10 per hour
Qualifications- Education: ADN required; BSN or higher preferred.
- Experience: No prior experience required; 1 year RN experience preferred.
- Licensure: Active Kentucky RN license (or temporary work permit, provisional license, or active compact state RN license) in good standing, plus AHA Basic Life Support valid for at least 6 months after hire.
Daily lifting and handling of 50‑100 lb, frequent lifting of 25‑50 lb, prolonged standing, walking, and sitting. Exposure to communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and sharp instruments is possible.
Job SummaryProvide comprehensive, patient‑centered nursing care in the Trauma 6‑200 Critical Care ICU. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, teaching, and evaluation of nursing care plans; direct patient care; satisfaction monitoring; supervision and training of nursing assistants; and compliance with university, state, and federal regulations. Collaboration with nursing staff and physicians to enhance communication and patient outcomes is essential.
Skills & Knowledge- Clinical expertise in adult trauma and acute surgical care.
- Strong critical‑thinking and direct patient‑care skills.
- Knowledge of Maslow’s and Gordon’s frameworks, and Swanson’s Caring model.
- Basic computer proficiency and internet navigation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, prioritization, and delegation abilities.
No supervisory role.
Preferred BackgroundBSN plus at least one year of RN experience.
