The Executive Pastor of Ministry Development is a blend of executive-level leadership and team building that ensures all pastoral staff and ministries are effective, aligned, and healthy as numerical growth and depth occur at FAC.
This role will oversee most of the pastoral staff, requiring a proven developer of ministries, teams, and individuals.

The Pastor of Ministry Development:(Leader, innovator, coach, maximizer, strategic, achiever)
The candidate will act as the Chief of Pastoral Staff, overseeing ministry leaders by:
- Executing the vision set by the Lead Pastor and the Leadership Board
- Providing pastoral leadership and coaching to the staff team and high-level leaders to maximize their God-given abilities and lead with excellence
- Developing clear strategies and sustainable systems to multiply and scale the mission of making disciples, creating a culture of alignment and accountability to prevent vision drift
- Working with the Lead Pastor on setting staff culture, training staff, and other ministry leaders through a leadership pipeline
- Innovating ministries, teams, and ideas to advance FAC into the next decade of ministry
- Establish consistency between Spirit-led mission and work environment
- Maintain accessibility to pastoral staff for care, love, direction, camaraderie, and oversight
- Create and oversee a staff development plan (e.g., retreats, chapel, training)
- Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to create organizational architecture for the church, staff, and ministries
- Work with staff on developing self-awareness and spiritual health
- Serve various ministries through leadership or participation
- Advocate for the staff
- Ensure compelling communication of vision to inspire and direct, in coordination with the Director of Communications
- Align pastoral staff’s budgets and resources with ministry strategies
- Promote a culture of measurement, feedback, and innovation
- Encourage healthy collaboration across departments and ministries
- Church and leaders moving forward in love, trust, and unity
- Vision, mission, and strategy producing disciples who make disciples
- Systems supporting and reinforcing the desired church culture

This role reports to the Lead Pastor and works closely with him. It is a full-time position requiring at least 40 hours per week, with salary and benefits based on experience and aligned with other pastoral staff.
Educational and Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree required, with preference for M. Div., M.B.A., or Doctoral degrees in relevant fields. Several years of experience in a large church (at least 600 attendees and a full-time pastoral staff of 5+) and ministry leadership experience are expected. The candidate should be or become licensed in the OVD of the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA), with the goal of eventual ordination if desired, if not already ordained through the C&MA.
