Production Manager, Manufacturing Operations / Plant Manager

Our client, a leader in providing data-driven solutions for the food safety and animal health industries, is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to oversee their production operations at the Lexington, KY facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless manufacturing, packaging, labeling, and shipping of products, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- Oversee the manufacturing of veterinary products, ensuring adherence to approved batch records and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate and assist in the scheduling of production activities.
- Manage the filling, packaging, labeling, and palletizing processes of manufactured products.
- Ensure organized inventory control of raw materials in the warehouse.
- Supervise the cleaning and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and areas.
- Monitor labor time and identify opportunities to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with written procedures and cGMP standards at all times.
- Train, supervise, and participate in the recruitment of manufacturing personnel.
- Provide backup support to the Manufacturing Manager as needed.
- Assist in the selection and installation of new manufacturing equipment.
- Engage in various tasks as required by management to support operational needs.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent with 2-5 years of related experience.
- Strong understanding of cGMP procedures.
- Proficiency with Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial and regulatory documents.
- Strong mathematical skills and reasoning abilities.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for seminars as needed.
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Adaptability to work in moderate noise environments and occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.
