Overview
You will work with a broad range of talented individuals to deliver quality products in a timely manner. You’ll work alongside Assemblers and partner with professionals across multiple departments.
Responsibilities- As a Material Handler, follow specified work instructions, load, unload, and move material within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing essential duties and responsibilities.
- Continually look for ways to improve production processes and make safety your #1 priority every day.
- Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Perform Kanban movement. Open and close containers.
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
- Secure materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
- Count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled to stock requisition or Kanban record.
- Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on containers.
- Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band together.
- Remove samples of materials, label with identifying information, and take samples to laboratory for analysis.
- Operate industrial lift trucks, electric carts, industrial sweeper, and company pickup truck as required.
- Make simple adjustments and perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Assemble crates or boxes to contain products such as machines or vehicles.
- Clean work area, spills, and equipment as required.
- Wrap and crate various units.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- High School Graduate or GED.
- 1+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Ability to use tools and equipment needed to perform assembly operations in an industrial setting.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Able to work well with others to be a good team player.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision. The work environment may include fumes or airborne particles; moving mechanical parts and vibration; and a loud noise level. The employee may be required to work at various heights from a step ladder, mobile or fixed ladder, or scaffold platforms.

The hourly rate for this role is in the range of $21.00 - $23.00 per hour. The actual salary offered may be influenced by factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and work location.
