Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (40 hours/week).
Job Summary
Evaluate student files for purpose of scheduling final and qualifying exams; approve doctoral advisory committee and approve any committee modifications; communicate with directors of graduate studies regarding potential deficiencies and resolve issues related to the administration of each exam, as required; maintain program reference materials related to degree requirements. Monitor progress towards completion of degree requirements; oversee student files of all degree candidates;
certify completion of degree requirements; reviews formatting requirements for dissertations and thesis prior to acceptance and publication. Review electronic thesis and dissertations for format and satisfaction of technical requirements; cooperate with university archives for proper archiving: and maintenance of ETD guidelines.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Must have excellent planning and organizing skills and exhibit dependability and attention to detail. Must be able to work independently as well as in the team concept. Should have excellent communication skills in addition to customer service orientation. MS Word, MS Excel, general computer fluency and database maintenance skills are necessary.
