KY/TN Water Business Group Project Delivery Leader
HDR is seeking an experienced professional to lead the growth and delivery of our Kentucky/Tennessee Water Business Group. The Project Delivery Leader will partner with local and national leadership to establish vision, strategy, and execution for expanding our research, planning, design, and engineering services to clients across drinking water, wastewater, recycled water, and stormwater markets. This role requires occasional travel within the TN/KY area.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Develop project management skills in collaboration with the Professional Services Leader.
- Oversee project delivery related to scope, schedule, budget, and staffing.
- Participate in Project Reviews.
- Coordinate with Market Sector Leaders to assign staff to projects.
- Manage workshare across business groups and areas.
- Streamline area project management processes and remove execution barriers.
- Champion cross‑business group (BGX) initiatives.
- Mentor staff development across the KY/TN area.
- Coordinate strategy and engagement in professional organizations.
- Assume Matrix of Authority responsibilities as appropriate.
- Serve as a Project Manager for key projects with strategic clients.
- Partner with the Business Group Manager and Market Sector Leads to develop a recruiting strategy and implementation.
- Master's degree.
- PMP certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 15 years of related experience.
- Minimum 7 years of project management experience.
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
- MS Office and MS Project experience required (Access experience plus).
- Demonstrated leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills.
- Active participation in an employee‑owned culture is a must.
