Purpose
The Overnight Receiving Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing warehouse operations at each retail store. This includes supervising warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators, as well as managing the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Strong interpersonal, team building, delegating, and follow-up skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Proficiency in Windows-based systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Extended hours during peak seasons
Essential Functions
- Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure efficient shipping and receiving
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control
- Manage storage buy transactions, receiving errors, and product staging
- Maintain warehouse equipment, including preventive maintenance and repairs
- Implement and oversee warehouse safety programs
- Ensure staff training on standard operating procedures
- Handle disciplinary actions and employee inquiries
- Coordinate with other departments for efficient operations
- Complete activity reports and monitor paperwork flow
- Resolve discrepancies in shipping and invoicing
- Execute Storage Buy Audit COP
- Ensure proper product staging and storage
- Oversee inventory rotation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Working Conditions
Frequent exposure to warehouse environment and moving vehicles with moderate to noisy noise levels.
Physical/Sensory Requirements
Ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally, and 20-30 pounds frequently, with frequent use of hands and fingers. Standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and stooping are required.
Store Hours
Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
