Maintenance Assistant

Adecco is assisting the Fayette County Youth Detention Center to immediately fill a Maintenance Assistant position.

Pay Rate: $16 an hr.

Hours: Flexibility in schedule, weekends may be required

• Assist in the overall daily maintenance and repairs of the facility
• Review work priorities daily and ensure they are serviced each day.
• Inspect the building and grounds and assistant in routine maintenance.
• Ensure the facility is in safe condition for clients and employees.
• Inspect vacated areas for signs of tampering or disrepair and carry out necessary repairs immediately.
• Oversee the operation of equipment used in performing maintenance repairs.
• Tend to flowers, trees, landscaping, trash pickup, mowing, leaf blowing, weed eating and pest removal.
• Power washing
• Small repairs such as water leaks, drywall, painting, HVAC maintenance
• Trash removal

• Minimum 1-2-years of prior maintenance experience required
• Education, training and/or experience which would clearly demonstrate the essential functions, knowledge and skills listed.
• Ability up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Employees must always be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all clients, managers and fellow employees.

Pay Details: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
