We are currently looking for a part-time custodian at our Lexington location. The custodian is responsible for ensuring work is completed where assigned by all custodians in a timely fashion, as well as completing different jobs as assigned by the manager to include set ups for events, maintaining the floors of the building as required, and the coordination of different projects relating to floors, restrooms, furniture, etc.

Hours for this position will be Monday-Friday 7 am-12 pm

• Conducts routes throughout the building offices to collect and dispose of trash.
• Aids with the set up and break down of all campus events.
• Moves/transports furniture and miscellaneous items for location related events.
• Coordinates and schedules vacuuming of offices, hallways, and rooms as needed.
• Responsible for cleanliness of floors including the mopping of floors as required and as needed.
• Assists with custodial related special projects as needed.
• Wipes down walls and whiteboards as needed.
• Clean bathrooms throughout the day and as needed.
• Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years related experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Must be able to communicate via radio for instructions.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently while meeting required deadlines.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate cleaning and set-up for special events.
• Knowledge of applicable OSHA standards.
• Knowledge of applicable safety practices and procedures.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to maneuver about the facilities.
• Must be able to push, pull and lift up to fifty pounds, move furniture and equipment.
