Field Service Technician II – Contract to Hire – Peak Systems – Lexington, KY, United States

Summary This position requires overnight travel from Sunday to Thursday, onsite at client locations during normal business hours with overnight travel. OT may be required. Requires a valid state driver's license (Real ), clean MVR, and a reliable vehicle.

- TOP 2 required skills:
Electro‑mechanical and printer hardware support experience - Years of experience: 2 to 3+
- Certifications/education:
Lexmark printer certification nice to have - Miles per day will vary depending on client locations
- Located within 75 miles of Lexington, KY 40510
- Candidate review and interviews start: ASAP
- Project focus on upgrading advanced commercial printers at retail locations
- Replace printer parts: paper feed, power supply, print head, toner drum, transfer belt, image unit
- Perform complex upgrades and troubleshooting of printers, servers, hard drives, and monitor systems
- Provide on‑site technical support to internal or external customers for complex or escalated technology issues
- Install and remove equipment and systems as required
- Responsible for day‑to‑day operation of applications and equipment and serve as a customer contact
- Ensure schedules, transmissions, online systems, and problems are resolved accurately and timely
- Serve as a liaison between customers, departments, and within the organization to lead problem resolution and change management processes
- Determine the most cost‑effective repair/resolution to minimize customer downtime
- Minimum 2‑3+ years of field service experience, specifically in commercial printers
- Extensive traveling via plane and/or car
- Commercial/large printer experience;
Lexmark printer certification nice to have - Experience with commercial printers and electronics/mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of Windows OS, networks, databases and network security concepts and tools
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Outlook
- Experience with multi‑platform Windows O/S
- Knowledge of Rufus, Windows Server imaging, photo printing, system connectivity, and Windows configuration
- Ability to work independently in a retail environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent customer service skills and professionalism
- Effective written and verbal communication with stakeholders, leadership, partners, team members, and customers
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Demonstrated capability to achieve results in a fast‑paced client‑driven environment
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
