Desktop Engineer​/Support Technician

Job Description

• The Desktop Engineer / Support Technician will provide technical support for desktop systems and related hardware in a Windows-based environment.
• The role includes installing, troubleshooting, and repairing devices while ensuring reliable IT support for staff.
• The technician may also assist with additional infrastructure components such as security cameras, servers, and network switches.
• The position operates within a correctional facility environment and requires adherence to strict security and operational protocols.

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role.
• Experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of devices in a Windows-based environment.
• Experience supporting end-user hardware and software systems.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware and software.
• Provide technical support for approximately 225 devices used by staff.
• Diagnose and repair system and hardware issues in a Windows-based environment.
• Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of security cameras, servers, and network switches as needed.
• Respond to user requests and provide timely technical assistance.
• Maintain system performance and ensure devices are functioning properly.
• Follow security and operational procedures within the correctional facility environment.

• Must be at least twenty years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in uncomfortable positions for extended periods.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Willingness to complete required training for working in a correctional facility environment.
