UK Health Care Information Technology Services has posted the Client Technology Engineer I role. This position will be accountable for establishing strong credibility & collaboration with physicians, customers, department leadership, affiliated organizations, and all IT staff. The role requires excellent interpersonal, persuasion, and influencing skills and the ability to participate in large multidisciplinary teams with varied work assignments. The Engineer is primarily responsible for the administration of end‑user communication applications, PC SOE configurations (OS design and image management), file and print services, PC/Macintosh/Thin Client/Mobile Device management (including centralized virus protection and Microsoft System Center tools), centralized elevated support and patch delivery, and implementation of self‑help/self‑heal services.
Additional responsibilities include adherence to standards, processes, and procedures; alignment with UK Health Care Behavioral Expectations; and project management.
- Administer end‑user communication applications.
- Configure PC Standard Operating Environment (SOE) including OS design and image management.
- Manage file and print services.
- Oversee PC, Macintosh, Thin Client, and Mobile Device systems management.
- Implement centralized virus protection and Microsoft System Center tools.
- Provide centralized elevated support and patch delivery.
- Implement and maintain self‑help / self‑heal services.
- Ensure compliance with standards, processes, and procedures.
- Adhere to UK Health Care Behavioral Expectations.
- Engage in project management activities.
- Enterprise desktop support.
- Microsoft 365 Certified:
Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (preferred). - Image management.
- Enterprise systems management.
- Computing hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Project management methodologies and practices.
- Microsoft Project knowledge (preferred).
Prior experience in an academic healthcare environment demonstrating exceptional performance in the development, implementation, and oversight of industry and service management best practices.
