The Kitchen Supervisor oversees the day-to-day activities in the kitchen to ensure all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
ResponsibilitiesQualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of experience in stewarding, kitchen maintenance, or kitchen operations, including supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service operations preferred.
- Certification requirements as applicable, including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
- Familiarity with Aimbridge Hospitality policies, house rules, and hospitality terminology.
- Ability to obtain Food Manager Certification (if applicable by state).
Job Responsibilities:
- Approach all guest and associate encounters with friendliness and a service-oriented attitude.
- Control and analyze costs related to breakage, quality support, and maintain culinary supplies in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
- Monitor the condition and cleanliness of equipment and all kitchen areas.
- Oversee cooking procedures, safety measures, inventory, and kitchen budget.
- Participate in preparing the annual stewarding operating budget aligned with the Food & Beverage Department's objectives.
- Educate associates on safety issues to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Report hazardous situations, emergencies, or security threats to management.
- Manage stock levels and control par stocks of materials and equipment.
- Lead, supervise, and evaluate the Stewarding department staff.
- Ensure sanitation and cleanliness standards are met for all facilities and equipment.
- Ensure proper handling of chemicals.
- Attend necessary meetings and assist with additional duties as required, such as food dish-up or setup tasks.
- Maintain open communication with other departments.
