Room Attendant

Overview

Hotel Room Attendants are responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and guest areas to ensure a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment. Duties include cleaning, restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and delivering excellent guest service.

• Clean and service guest rooms: make beds, dust, vacuum, mop, scrub, disinfect, and restock amenities.
• Handle linens: replace towels, manage laundry, and maintain linen carts.
• Inspect rooms for maintenance needs and report issues promptly.
• Follow safety procedures, including proper chemical handling and OSHA/MSDS standards.
• Process lost-and-found items according to hotel policy.
• Respond to guest requests courteously and efficiently.
• Maintain carts, equipment, and storage areas in clean, organized condition.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required).
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred; luxury or hotel experience is a plus.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English.
• Strong attention to detail and guest-service orientation.

• Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
• Ability to lift 20–75 lbs depending on property requirements.
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals safely.

• Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
