Position Summary:
The Patient Health Information Coordinator is responsible for accurately maintaining and managing medical records for all EHI affiliates. This role works closely with internal staff, medical providers, community physicians, and external facilities to coordinate records and uphold a secure , compliant medical records. Key responsibilities include supporting the full lifecycle of the EMR from admission through discharge, running reports, retrieving and analyzing data from internal and external EMR systems, scanning and entering documentation, and conducting thorough audits to ensure all regulatory, licensing and organizational requirements are met.
Position
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required .
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare administration, medical records, health information management, hospice, or a related healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and electronic documentation platforms preferred.
