Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 1-3 years of IR experience and proficiency in scrubbing, circulating, and assisting with vascular and neuro interventional procedures.
Responsibilities- Work in an interventional radiology department with a focus on vascular, neuro, and CT/US-guided procedures
- Day shift position with four 10-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and one to two call shifts per week
- On-call schedule includes one weekend every six weeks; weekday call from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and weekends split into 12-hour shifts
- Floats within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
- Patient caseload includes adult interventional and neurovascular cases
- Siemens single and bi-plane equipment and McKesson PACS utilized
- Epic is the primary EMR used with preference for candidates familiar with this system
- Assist the physician with interventional neuro and vascular procedures as well as CT/US-guided interventions
- Responsibilities include circulating, filming, charging in Epic, and assisting during procedures
- Team members may float to main PACU as needed to recover patients after hours
- All required modules must be completed during orientation and annually
- Return staff must be gone for 6 months to be eligible to return as a traveler
- All requested time off must be disclosed during submission for approval
- Level 1 trauma experience is required for most units
- Scrub and dress code details to be confirmed during orientation
- ARRT(R), BLS, and either RTR or RTRVI certification required
- KY Radiation Operator's License required before start
- 1-3 years of recent IR experience with demonstrated skills in vascular interventional radiology (VIR)
- Proficient in scrubbing as first assist to physician, circulating, filming, and documenting in Epic
- References from two supervisors from the last three years required for consideration
- Compact or Kentucky state license required at time of submission (license required if applicable)
- Must not have any licensure hits
- No local candidates; permanent residence must be greater than 75 miles from the facility
