The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing patient arrivals patient registration resolution of patient complaints collection and verification of demographic information and insurance/payer source information and correction of registration errors collection of patient-responsibility payments at time of service (copays, co-insurance, self-pay estimates) maintain HIPAA compliant and comply with all UKHC policies regarding patient privacy and confidentiality participate in unit and Enterprise activities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and patient satisfaction The ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented; possess patient scheduling and health insurance knowledge; have the ability to multi-task with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail; proficient in Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); solid time management, critical thinking, follow-through, and planning and organizational skills are all critical to the success in this position and a high level of respect for confidentiality is a must.

Preferred Education/Experience4 years of healthcare customer service experience preferred and previous experience working with patient scheduling is highly preferred.
