Position: Radiology MRI Tech/UKHC/ WEPP

Radiology MRI Technologist – UKHC – Lexington, KY

Working Title: MRI Technologist – Gill – Sign‑on bonus up to $20,000
Department: MRI (H3184)
Grade: 10
Location: Lexington, KY
Salary: $30.10–$39.10 /hour (minimum $30.10/hour)
Type: Staff – Full‑time
Time Status: Full‑time – Saturday & Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Education: AS Radiologic Technology (accredited program). Requires current Kentucky radiation operator certificate, ARRT registration, and BLS certification by start date.
Experience: 0 years required; MRI registration within one year of hire; one or more years of experience eligible for $20,000 sign‑on bonus, less than one year for $10,000 bonus.
License/Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) at hire;
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via AHA within 90 days; MRI registry within one year of hire.
Physical Requirements: Must regularly lift, push, and/or pull objects up to 50 lb; standing or walking with objects up to 25 lb; work at heights above four feet and confined spaces; regular to occasional risk of injury from patients, equipment, or materials; exposure to loud noises, temperature extremes, hazardous chemicals, fumes, radiation, burns, cuts/punctures, blood‑borne or airborne pathogens, and combative/violent people.
Shift: Saturday & Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM only.
Job Summary: Perform MRI procedures in accordance with ARRT standards and department policies. Demonstrate knowledge of human structure and function, patient care, positioning, electromagnetic and computer sciences, magnetic protection, and specialized techniques. Expect capability to apply appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: MRI equipment operation and safety; PACS and RIS; CPR;
Kentucky state radiation certification; ARRT registration.

Education / Experience:

Current MRI registration through ARRT and BLS certification.
