Job Summary

UK Health Care is seeking an Ambulatory Clinical Operations Director. This position is a key leadership role that works closely with Medical Directors, Clinical Leads, physicians, and senior leaders to ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across designated community clinics. The Ambulatory Clinical Operations Director will be responsible for driving success in quality, safety, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

This includes managing financial performance, human resources, infrastructure, and signature metrics that align with UK Health Care’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in healthcare operations, a proven ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and expertise in managing within a matrixed organizational structure. Success in this role will require exceptional leadership, quantitative analysis, strategic thinking skills, and a track record of accountability, delegation, and driving results.

Responsibilities
  • Drive success in quality, safety, patient satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    MA (required).
  • Experience:

    7 years in healthcare operations or related field (required).
  • Preferred Experience:

    Healthcare operations, project management, or healthcare administration.
  • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
    Strong background in healthcare operations; proven collaboration with physicians; strategic thinking; leadership and analytical skills.
  • Physical Requirements:

    Regularly sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting objects weighing up to 10 lbs and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Shift: Monday – Friday, Day Shift; primarily 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hrs/week) with other hours/schedule as needed.

    Lexington, KY.
