The Medical Assistant 2 performs clinical tasks. These responsibilities include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, and medication/vaccine administration. Additionally, the Medical Assistant 2 is responsible for phlebotomy, collecting specimens, performing diagnostic screening tests, sterilizing equipment, maintain examination rooms, and document information into the electronic medical records system.

• Work is onsite, Monday-Friday 8-5 at 3101 Richmond Rd., Lexington, KY 40509

• Report to Clinic/Center Administrator on a team with other Medical Assistants

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider

• High school diploma or equivalent

• CPR Certified

• Certified or Registered – (Arizona, Indiana, and South Carolina require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration)

• Phlebotomy experience

• Medication/vaccine administration experience

• 1+ years MA experience

• Value-based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

• The company considers this role patient facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, the company will require you to screen for TB.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$40,000 - $52,300 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
