Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with ARRT certification and 2 years of relevant experience for a busy cardiac and neuro cath lab.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based cath lab specializing in diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Patient population includes middle adult to geriatric patients
- Perform diagnostic right and left heart catheterizations, interventional procedures, use of rotablator, IABP, and closure devices
- Circulating and scrubbing duties with sterile procedure and equipment setup required
- Computerized documentation is utilized within the unit
- Day shift schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call requirement includes at least 2 weekends in an 8-week schedule and 1-2 nights during the week
- Call may involve both cardiac and neuro cases once training is completed
- Responsibilities include circulating, scrubbing, and documenting procedures using computerized systems
- Call assignments may transition between cardiac and neuro based on neuro training status
- Two professional references are required for consideration
- PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security number are required for credentialing
- Local rates apply for candidates living within a 75-mile radius
- Current ARRT certification required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent cath lab experience in the specialty
- Proficiency with diagnostic and interventional heart cath procedures, rotablator, IABP, and closure devices
- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
- Experience with sterile techniques and equipment setup
- RCIS certification not accepted
- License required if applicable
