Responsibilities
Job Summary / Purpose
Under the direction of the healthcare provider, the Float Medical Assistant II is responsible for delivering patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients. This role involves accurately performing preliminary physical tests, including measuring blood pressure, recording weight, temperature, pulse, respirations, and other assessments as directed by established clinical protocols. The Float Medical Assistant II will float to various locations, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in providing high-quality patient care across multiple settings.

Minimum Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program. May require specialized training such as Non-Certified Radiologic Technician (NCT).
Required Licensure and Certifications
+ Current/valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required if applicable.
+ BLS – CPR certification required within 5 days
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
+ 2 years Medical Assistant experience.
+ Ability to perform urine drug screens, administer injections.
+ Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
+ Through knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations.
+ Demonstrate sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations.
+ Maintains a positive, caring attitude towards patients.
+ Good computer skills using a medical management application.
+ Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
Pay Range
$17.04 - $23.43 /hour
