The College of Public Health at the University of Kentucky is committed to improving public health outcomes with a focus on Kentucky communities. This new clinical title series positions public health educators with practice or leadership experience to bridge theory and real‑world application for future leaders. - Required
Education:
Doctoral degree in Public Health (DrPH, ScD, or related field) preferred;
Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) with extensive experience may be considered. - Required Experience:
Minimum of five years in public health practice; strong teaching skills; excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills; commitment to scholarship of clinical practice. - License/Registration/Certification:
None - Pay Range:

- Teaching
- Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses, including experiential courses in public health practice and leadership.
- Utilize case studies, guest lectures from practitioners, and service‑learning opportunities.
- Instruction may occur in health departments, clinics, or other public health settings.
- Mentor and advise students on career paths in public health practice and leadership.
- Service to Profession/Clinical Practice
- Maintain strong connections to public health practice through collaborations with local and state health departments and community organizations.
- Participate in applied research projects addressing public health issues.
- Provide technical assistance and consultation to practitioners.
- Develop and contribute to grant proposals for public health initiatives.
- Contribute to the land‑grant mission through outreach and engagement with community stakeholders.
- Service to Institution
- Serve on university and professional committees related to public health practice.
- Advocate for policies and programs that improve health outcomes for communities or populations.

This position will be funded through extramural funding and contracts. Sources also include non‑recurring dollars, contracts with public health and healthcare organizations, and state‑based training and curriculum funding.
