$70,000.00/yr - $/yr

Two offices located in Lexington, KY.

• Evaluation of patients
• Initiating and progressing exercise programs
• Determining appropriate modalities and/or manual therapy for each patient
• Coordinating care with doctors and massage therapists
• Helping patients accomplish treatment plans and use therapeutic devices by administering manual exercises, instructing, encouraging, and assisting with physical activities and the use of assistive devices
• Administering physical therapy treatments by giving massages, applying physical agents, and directing treatments performed by aides, technicians, and assistants
• Evaluating effects of treatments and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices by observing and documenting progress
• Completing discharge planning by consulting with physicians and other health care workers
• Designing home exercise programs and instructing patients, families, and caregivers for continuation after discharge
• Assessing return-to-work goals for workers’ compensation patients and developing treatment plans in consultation with physicians
• Documenting patient care services in records
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and safety in the working environment
• Complying with infection-control policies and maintaining a safe environment
• Maintaining professional knowledge through education and professional involvement
• Adhering to legal and professional requirements and advising management on needed actions
• Contributing to team effort and related results as needed

• Valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of Kentucky
• At least one year of orthopedic outpatient experience
• Ability to apply physical modalities and perform manual therapy
• Dry needling or kinesio taping certification is a plus but not required
• Basic knowledge of medical Spanish is not required but is a definite plus
