Accounting Manager

Artemis Solutions is partnering with a growing, privately held video game development and publishing company based in Lexington, KY to identify an experienced Accounting Manager.

This organization is experiencing significant growth and increased investor visibility. As a result, they are expanding their internal financial leadership to strengthen reporting, improve processes, and enhance investor transparency.

This is a unique opportunity to join a creative, fast-growing entertainment company in a high-impact financial leadership role.

The Accounting Manager will serve as the primary on-site financial leader in Lexington, working closely with executive leadership (based out of state) and an external accounting firm.

This individual will be the sole accounting professional on-site and a critical member of the leadership team. The role requires someone who can bring structure, strengthen internal controls, and prepare the organization for continued growth and upcoming audit requirements.

• Lead development and management of Investor Distribution Statements (top priority)
• Organize and manage high-volume revenue streams (digital platform distributions, downloads, in-game purchases, etc.)
• Ensure accurate financial recordkeeping and structured reporting
• Partner with external accounting firm for audit preparation (2025 readiness)
• Support financial reporting for Board meetings
• Manage cash flow forecasting and financial projections
• Oversee AP/AR, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and invoice processing
• Develop financial modeling to support current and future investors
• Assess and improve internal financial processes and controls

• Implement a formalized Investor Distribution plan
• Lead preparation efforts for the 2025 audit

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Ability to independently evaluate and improve financial processes
• Experience preparing structured financial reports for external stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

CPA certification is not required.

• Accounting Manager-level experience
• Experience supporting audits and investor reporting
• Self-motivated, proactive mindset
• Comfortable operating independently within a lean team

Industry experience in gaming or entertainment is not required, though interest in the industry is strongly preferred.

The Lexington office is a close-knit team of approximately 13 professionals in a creative, entertainment-focused environment.
