We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky. In this role, you will oversee critical financial functions, including consolidation processes, reporting, and budgeting. You will play a key part in improving financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

- Consolidate financial data to support internal and external reporting needs, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end disclosures.

- Conduct detailed intercompany reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency across subsidiaries.

- Streamline financial processes by identifying opportunities for automation and implementing solutions.

- Collaborate with subsidiaries to address accounting and reporting inquiries while ensuring compliance.

- Perform technical accounting research and analysis to support financial decision-making.

- Lead and support various aspects of the annual budgeting process.

- Review and analyze budget-to-actual variances to identify key insights.

- Manage lease accounting and ensure proper documentation and reporting.

- Assist in preparing for audits by maintaining accurate records and supporting documentation.

- Handle additional accounting and financial tasks as needed to support organizational goals.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with 6-9 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel techniques to support automation and data analysis.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger functions, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

- Experience with month-end close processes and bank reconciliations.

- Familiarity with audit procedures and requirements.

- CPA certification is preferred but not required.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
