A dynamic opportunity is available for an experienced Electrical Designer to join a project team supporting a diverse portfolio of projects. This role involves planning, designing, and preparing electrical documentation for a variety of projects while following established design and drafting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Design electrical projects including schematics, grid layouts, power systems, lighting, protection and controls, and facility/site designs.
- Develop drawings for production work, including problem analysis, design layouts, and calculations for complex assignments.
- Execute and refine design changes, redlines, or mark-ups on ongoing projects.
- Analyze reports, drawings, and test data to inform project designs.
- Interpret and apply design codes and specifications to meet project requirements.
- Review design drawings for quality assurance within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Compute conduit/grounding layouts, equipment and panel wiring diagrams, and relay panel schematics.
- Organize and maintain project documentation and drawing revisions.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with project teams and client coordination efforts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned while complying with all policies and standards.
- Bachelor’s Degree in drafting technology or related field with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR
- Associate Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience OR
- High School diploma with a minimum of 9 years of progressive detailing and design experience

Bachelor’s in any ABET-accredited engineering discipline is not eligible for this position) - Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Micro Station, Excel, and the ability to learn new design software programs.
- Strong ability to create 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical design theory, calculations, and systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers in a multi-discipline team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
