Description

We're looking for a Structures Project Manager to join the HMB team!

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the planning, design, and execution of structural engineering projects primarily in, but not limited to, the transportation market.

* Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality control to ensure successful project completion.

* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

* Provide technical expertise in structural analysis, design, and materials selection.

* Oversee and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and drafters.

* Ensure compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

* Develop, review and approve project documentation, reports, and specifications.

* Identify and mitigate project risks while resolving technical challenges.

* Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.

* Provide clients with technical support and subject matter expertise on transportation structures related issues.

* Conduct appropriate cost-benefit analyses for assigned projects.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.

* Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license required.

* 15+ years of experience in structural engineering and project management.

* Proven track record of managing structural projects.

* Strong proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Open Bridge/LEAP, MIDAS, Open Roads, Micro Station).

* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

* Experience working with cross-functional teams, clients, and contractors.

* Experience working in multiple states is a plus.

* Project and/or client management experience is required.

* Ability to guide junior staff as well as participate in the design and detailing of all aspects of small- to large-scale structural projects of varying technical complexity.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Teams.

* Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication, as well as time management skills.

* Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client needs and deadlines, as well as other assigned project parameters.

* Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
