Electrical Engineer

Position Overview

dormakaba is hiring an Electrical Engineer to join our team onsite in Lexington, KY. The Electrical Engineer will design and improve electrical systems, products, and processes. They will work on new and existing technologies, discovering ways to make production more efficient and effective. Using expertise in engineering and applied science, the Electrical Engineer will help develop innovative solutions that support dormakaba’s goals.

HIRING SALARY RANGE:
Base Salary $95,000 - $115,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

• Negotiate interface decisions which affect and require integration of work into the related project
• Document work and assure timely communications to all affected areas, schedules and cost objectives while alerting management to any difficulties
• Design, develop, and test micro‑controller‑based designs
• Perform schematic layouts and circuit analysis
• Coordinate and manage regulatory conformance FCC, UL and others
• Provide and be accountable for moderately complex technical direction, often as a technical team leader to a small group of professional/technical personnel to complete an engineering/scientific project

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology
• 3+ years of full‑time work experience with extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Advanced knowledge in QFD, DFM, DFA, FMEA, DFT, and RCA
• In‑depth understanding of design for Six Sigma
• Aptitude for troubleshooting electronic circuits

• Experience with FCC regulations
