Manufacturing Engineer Air Distribution Technologies
• Lexington, KY, United States

Ruskin, a subsidiary of Air Distribution Technologies, Inc., is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence by supporting existing manufacturing processes and leading continuous improvement initiatives at the Lexington facility. The Manufacturing Engineer develops innovative solutions to production challenges involving materials, processes, and tooling, while supporting new product introductions through advanced process design, tooling development, and machinery implementation.

Additional responsibilities include establishing robust production controls, overseeing equipment setup and optimization, and ensuring proper operation through comprehensive training for team members.

What You’ll Do
  • Ensure Quality Excellence - Develop and implement product and process controls to maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality standards.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement - Utilize Lean principles, SPC, and DOE methodologies to analyze data, drive corrective actions, and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate Across Teams - Serve as a key liaison between suppliers, purchasing, engineering, production, and customers to identify and resolve quality issues efficiently.
  • Drive Supplier Quality Management - Work with vendors to establish and maintain quality expectations, ensuring reliable and consistent product performance.
  • Develop Quality Training Programs - Train internal teams on quality control processes, SPC, and corrective action strategies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee Calibration and Audits - Maintain calibration systems, conduct internal audits, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and Report Performance - Generate quality reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and communicate updates to leadership and stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business, or Manufacturing required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control, process auditing, lean manufacturing, or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Six Sigma Green or Black belt certification is preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and familiarity with ISO 9001 standards. Experience with AS400 systems is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify root causes, and implement effective quality solutions.
  • Ability to clearly convey technical information to teams, leadership, suppliers, and customers.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The role may occasionally involve climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate noise levels, and occasional outdoor conditions.
