Description:
You will be the Operations Engineer Senior for the Special Operations Forces – Global Logistics Support Services team. Our team is responsible for delivering tailored logistics, maintenance, and sustainment solutions to U.S. Special Operations Command.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Operations Engineer Senior you will be responsible for leading Six Sigma projects and driving process improvements across production and installation environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead Six Sigma Projects: plan, execute, and control initiatives to improve process efficiency and product quality.
- On‑floor implementation: identify, test, and implement process improvements on production and installation floors.
- Interpret engineering drawings to assess producibility, recommend design adjustments, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform run and process trend analyses to pinpoint performance gaps and identify continuous‑improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (process engineers, production staff, quality assurance) to align improvement efforts with business goals.
This position supports our Special Operations Forces – Global Logistics Support Services contract, which is the U.S. Special Operations Command's (USSOCOM) largest service contract vehicle providing a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance, and sustainment services.

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Proven experience applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency with Minitab for statistical analysis and project tracking.
- Proficiency with Excel Macros.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience with Team Center Engineering (or similar product data management tools).
- Background in production operations, preferably in fabrication and installation contexts.
This position requires a government security clearance and an active Secret clearance. Candidates must be U.S. citizens.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time. The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
Schedule for this Position:
Non‑standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader.
