We are currently seeking a Project Manager I – W/WW to join our Lexington, KY office.

What You’ll Do:

This role is geared toward an early‑mid career engineer ready to take on project management responsibilities while still receiving guidance from senior staff. You will support and manage a range of municipal and private‑sector water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including distribution and collection systems, pump stations, storage facilities, and treatment plant improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage small to mid‑sized water/wastewater projects with oversight from senior project managers.
• Assist in developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets while ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Serve as a day‑to‑day client contact, helping facilitate meetings, gather project information, and provide basic project updates.
• Coordinate internal design efforts by assigning tasks to engineers and technicians and monitoring progress.
• Support QA/QC by reviewing plans, calculations, and technical deliverables.
• Prepare design documents, reports, cost estimates, and permitting packages.
• Coordinate with public agencies, utilities, subconsultants, and regulatory reviewers.
• Contribute to proposal development by assisting with technical content, resumes, project descriptions, and cost inputs.
• Track project performance, help prepare invoicing, and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Foster a collaborative team environment by supporting communication, problem‑solving, and efficient project delivery.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in water/wastewater, municipal infrastructure, or related infrastructure projects.
• EIT required; PE license preferred or actively in progress.
• Experience working with municipalities, utilities, or public‑sector agencies.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work directly with clients under moderate guidance.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and maintain project momentum.
• A collaborative mindset with interest in developing leadership and project management skills.
