Position: Leadership and Technical Opportunities – Dam, Levee and Flood Resilience with HDR

Overview

HRD is seeking civil, structural, geotechnical, and hydraulic engineers to join HDR’s Dam, Levee and Flood Resilience Programs as engineers of record, group managers and technical practice leaders. HDR is employee-owned and highly regarded in ENR for Dams, Reservoirs, and Hydropower. The program focuses on improving resiliency, sustainability, and safety of communities as dams, levees, and flood control systems are upgraded and rebuilt to adapt to a changing climate and growing water needs.

Responsibilities

and Opportunities
  • Provide project, geographic and technical leadership in dam, levee and flood resilience projects.
  • Serve as engineers of record, group managers and technical practice leaders with expertise in complex dam, levee, and flood resilience management.
  • Develop expertise in potential failure mode analysis (PFMA) as a growing need.
Qualifications and Areas of Expertise
  • Civil, structural, geotechnical, or hydraulic engineering backgrounds.
  • Experience with analysis tools and models related to dam safety, flood management, and hydraulic structures.
  • Interest in leadership roles and working on challenging water infrastructure projects.
Locations and Travel

HDR has over 200 locations in the United States. Primary location listed as United States-Nebraska-Omaha. Additional locations include United States-Texas-Round Rock;
North Carolina-Charlotte;
New York-East Syracuse;
Pennsylvania-Allentown;
Wyoming-Cheyenne; and many others (full list available in the posting).
