This position will involve helping manage large transportation projects, as well as assisting Project Managers and Project Engineers with:

• Design and layout of highways, including hydraulic/drainage design.
• Design of horizontal and vertical alignments, profiles, cross sections, drainage, utilities, maintenance of traffic, and erosion control.
• Preparation of construction quantities for cost estimating and assistance with permitting for governmental/regulatory agencies (may be included).
• Site visits to collect data such as photos and field measurements.

• • Bachelor’s or Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• • Kentucky Professional Engineer (PE) registration
• • 5+ years of experience in transportation engineering
• • Proficiency with highway design software such as Micro Station/Open Roads Designer
• • Excellent oral and written English communication skills to effectively write reports and business correspondence, and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the public
• • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
• • Excellent time management skills
• • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• • Desire, motivation, and ability to exceed the firm's and clients' expectations
• • Dedication and willingness to continue professional growth
