Deaf Education Teacher

Overview

The Deaf Educator is responsible for planning and delivering a high-quality educational program to meet the academic and social emotional needs for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

There is a $5,000 hiring bonus for this position paid over 3 years.

Valid Iowa teaching license with Birth-21 Deaf or Hard of Hearing endorsement or willingness to obtain a conditional license.

Demonstrated effectiveness in oral, written, and American Sign Language communications.

Previous classroom teaching experience.

Experience in an urban school district.

Contract days vary by assignment.

7.75 hours.

Salary schedule attached.

Candidates offered employment will be compensated based on skills, work experience and education.

3. Single Dental insurance at no cost to the employee.
