Lecturer in Mathematics

Position Details
  • Full‑time faculty position with a 9‑month teaching load, non‑tenure track
  • First‑year distribution of effort: 90% teaching and 10% departmental service
  • Initial appointment for two years with potential renewal; promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years
Responsibilities
  • Teach introductory and advanced undergraduate mathematics courses, including large‑class instruction
  • Mentor graduate students and provide academic advising
  • Participate in departmental service and administrative duties
  • Contribute to the department’s teaching mission and pursue a long‑term teaching career within the department
Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related field (by the time of appointment)
  • Demonstrated teaching excellence and experience with large‑class courses
  • Administrative, organizational, and mentoring skills required for teaching and coordinating large classes
