Job SummaryThe Department of History and the Program in Jewish Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky invites applications for a full‑time Lecturer position in Post World War II European History to begin August 1, 2026. The selected candidate will be appointed to a 9‑month, non‑tenure eligible faculty position for an initial two‑year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years.
The initial distribution of effort will be 90% instruction and 10% service. The successful candidate will have expertise in Jewish, Holocaust, Refugee, and Italian history. We are particularly interested in candidates who are prepared to teach a range of undergraduate courses on topics such as Modern Europe survey, Jewish History and Thought, History of the Holocaust, War and Society, histories of refugees and migration, and modern Italy.
A PhD in History or related field is required.
