Job Description
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Department of Forestry and Natural Resources seeks an Agriculture Extension Associate.
This position will assist in Forestry and Natural Resources Extension activities, including, but not limited to:
- Conducting shooting sports, hunter recruitment, and game processing programming aimed at engaging and recruiting the public in these activities
- Collecting attendee information and interpreting the data to better align resources
- Preparing educational materials and assisting with grant reporting requirements
- Overseeing and coordinating activities with collaborators, including the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources and associated non-government organizations
- Providing support to other projects, such as Cook Wild KY
- Performing related tasks as they arise
The Extension Associate will also participate in extension and outreach activities, engage in professional development, and attend relevant scientific and outreach conferences. This is a grant-funded, three-year position renewed annually.
