Job Summary:
The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing Undergraduate Program is seeking a Lecturer Title Series (tenure‑ineligible) Lecturer. This position is a nine‑month appointment (August 16th – May 15th) with an anticipated Distribution of Effort of about 90‑95% Teaching and Advising, 5‑10% Professional Development/Service which will be reviewed annually. This position is an onsite position. We anticipate a start date of August 16, 2025, but no later than September 1, 2025.
This position, based in Lexington, KY, onsite, will assist and resource the Undergraduate and Graduate programs within the College of Nursing. This position requires an individual to provide teaching, advising, and mentoring of students in coursework offered in the clinical simulation learning center and UK clinical enterprise. The candidate will contribute to scholarly practice and advance nursing professionalism. The candidate will design, implement and evaluate curriculum offered in the Clinical Simulation Learning Center, plan and evaluate student experiences, and provide experience in clinical simulation with low‑ and high‑fidelity simulators.
Responsibilities and
Qualifications:
- Design, implement, and evaluate curriculum in the Clinical Simulation Learning Center.
- Plan and evaluate student experiences using low‑ and high‑fidelity simulators.
- Provide teaching, advising, and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students.
- Contribute to scholarly practice and advance nursing professionalism.
- Prepare for teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Demonstrate successful teaching experience in clinical simulation with low and high‑fidelity simulators.
- Maintain an active Kentucky RN license and meet all related experience requirements.
Preferred Education/
Experience:
Preparation in teaching and learning principles for adult education; curriculum development and evaluation experience; preference for candidates with additional experience in clinical simulation.
