The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing Graduate DNP Program is seeking a Special Title Series (tenure-eligible) Assistant or Associate Professor (open-rank). This position is a 12‑month appointment with an anticipated distribution of effort of about 60‑80% teaching and advising, 0‑20% clinical practice activities, 15% research and scholarly activity, and 5% service/professional development. The anticipated start date is January 1, 2026, but not later than July 1, 2026.
This posting will remain open until filled.
- Design, implement, and evaluate didactic and clinical courses in the College's graduate nursing programs
- Plan and evaluate student clinical experiences and advise students in the DNP program
- Serve as a liaison between the College and clinical agencies where student placements occur, and participate as an active inter‑professional team member
- Collaborate with UK healthcare providers, administrators and staff to assess, develop and evaluate strategies targeted at leadership areas of nursing
- Participate in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of applicable programs, projects, scholarship and research, anticipating manuscripts for publication and presentations in peer‑reviewed venues
- Act as an investigator or co‑investigator on evidence‑based practice or research projects and grant proposals
- Earned PhD or DNP nursing degree
- Demonstrated expertise in nursing administration and evidence‑based practice
- Experience in an Executive Nursing Leadership role (preferred)
- Active Kentucky license as a prepared registered nurse
- At least 5 years of practice and academic experience
