BAPTIST HEALTH MEDICAL GROUP IS SEEKING A HIGHLY QUALIFIED BE/BC CARDIOTHORACIC SURGEON to join a busy adult cardiac surgery practice in the Louisville/southern Indiana metropolitan area. The surgeon will engage in a busy surgical caseload supporting the cardiac surgery programs at two reputable hospitals, Baptist Health Louisville and Baptist Health Floyd. The ideal applicant will have surgical experience with proven results and excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
- The practice offers a mix of coronary, valve, re-operative and aortic surgery cases.
- Cardiac surgical case volume for both programs is more than 1,000 cases per year, with established STS-recognized outcomes.
- Our surgeons have access to five operating rooms and one dedicated hybrid operating room. Training or exposure to TAVR, MICS, ECMO and wire skills is desirable.
- Our surgical team includes three surgeons, nine advanced practice clinicians, and a great support staff.

Baptist Health Louisville is a 519-bed tertiary-care hospital located in the heart of St. Matthews. The all-private room hospital provides virtually all inpatient services with the exception of transplantation and burn care. The hospital’s emergency services include special teams for heart attack and stroke care. Cancer services include two freestanding radiation centers and the Charles and Mimi Osborn Cancer Center, which also offers a cancer resource center and a multidisciplinary lung care clinic.
Special services include women’s health, labor and delivery, digital mammography, ultrasound and bone-density scanning for osteoporosis. Other areas of expertise include orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiovascular services, wound care, behavioral health, occupational health, acute rehabilitation, and in-home care provided by Baptist Health Home Care.
