Overview

CINFAB is looking for a Project Manager in Lexington, KY. Established in 1981, CINFAB filled the need for a high-quality, competitively priced commercial HVAC sheet metal contractor. We operate a 40,000-square-foot full-service fabrication shop and provide design, fabrication and installation services to meet our customers' needs. Responsibilities
  • Lead by example through project setup and management responsibilities.
  • Ensure that you have received an adequate turnover of information from Estimating.
  • Develop budget for management review and approval.
  • Develop field and shop labor control documents for management review and approval.
  • Negotiate best responsible buyout of equipment and materials, gain required approval through established submittal process, provide submittal information to all departments supporting the project.
  • Set up a project handoff meeting with a detailed execution plan. Provide the foreman with a complete set of contract drawings, specifications, budgets, filed control documents, procurement log and detailed schedule. Include a manpower plan based on the estimate.
  • Coordinate with the field superintendent on manpower needs and maintain weekly updates of the manpower planning document.
  • Attend all project planning and scheduling meetings.
  • Manage the procurement process on projects assigned; ensure material and equipment are scheduled, tracked, and delivered on time for the field to install.

  • Nurture and enhance relationships with current and past customers.
Subcontractor Management
  • Select qualified subcontractors to perform specific scopes of work.
  • Ensure all subs have an updated Master Trade Agreement and Subcontract specific with defined scope of work.
Act with Integrity
  • Understand contractual responsibilities and communicate clearly with customers when items are outside of our scope.
  • Review weekly field and shop labor control documents and update weekly productivity forms. Report during weekly internal Project Meetings and take necessary actions to reverse negative trends.
  • Perform safety audits monthly for each assigned project and report to the safety director.
  • Review daily reports uploaded by foremen in Autodesk Build and perform daily safety reports when on site.
Put People First
  • Ensure company and project safety requirements are understood and followed by all.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship and oversight to all employees.
Challenge the Ordinary
  • Support and develop the company's continuous improvement philosophy and processes.
  • Provide input on labor planning, tracking and productivity analysis; recognize and develop Field Foremen and Field crews as appropriate.
  • Participate in company training sessions and ensure company and project policies are followed.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry and trades.
  • OSHA 30 training required.
  • Construction project experience and in-depth working knowledge of mechanical, sheet metal and related building methods.
  • Working knowledge of basic business principles regarding project oversight and budgeting.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Able to decipher and understand technical drawings, blueprints, manuals and produce specification sheets, and engineering and architectural drawings and schematics.
  • Advanced verbal and writing skills.
  • Generating Submittals, Writing RFIs, Processing POs.
  • Review, submit and manage Change Orders documents.
  • Subcontractor management.
Physical Demands
  • The ability to walk on uneven ground.
  • Able to use ladders and navigate scaffolding.
  • Tolerate loud environments and construction activities.
Work Environment
  • Office site may include a temporary trailer.
  • Visiting construction sites on a routine schedule.
