OverviewThe ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site, capable of managing subcontractors, and have experience working for the General Services Administration or other federally funded agencies. Qualified candidates should be able to determine and address any risk areas to maintain an on-time project, and the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in understanding construction drawings, a critical path schedule and communicating project milestones with clients and other parties.
This work is located in Lexington, KY with an estimated completion date of October 2026. As the project progresses, evening and night shift work is expected.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee daily construction operations
- Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed
- Communicate project progress with clients and project managers with fluent English
- Manage subcontractors and construction site organization
- 10+ years of experience in construction
- 5+ years as a superintendent
- Strong project management and communications skills
- Experience working autonomously
- Familiar with EM 385-1-1 requirements
- OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain
- Ability to read construction documents
- Experience supporting federal construction contracts strongly preferred
- Experience with General Services Administration or other federally-funded agencies preferred
- Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
- Preferred experience in heavy civil
- Ability to pass a GSA security screening is required
