Vigilance is a growing Veteran-Owned Small Business delivering specialized training and mission support services to the Department of War, Intelligence Community, and Federal Law Enforcement is seeking a Business Development Lead to help shape and scale our next phase of growth.
This is a high-visibility role with direct access to executive leadership and significant influence over company growth strategy. The right candidate will not simply manage opportunities; they will help define how the company competes, positions, and expands in the federal market.
Role DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Business Development Lead to drive military and government sales initiatives from our headquarters in Lexington, KY. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional with a proven track record in managing business development programs and executing capture strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute BD and capture strategy for DoW and federal customers
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new government opportunities
- Manage pipeline development and forecasting
- Build and maintain relationships within military and government communities
- Support proposal development and contract capture efforts
- 5–10 years of business development/sales experience
- Experience managing a business development program
- Ability to work autonomously and execute strategy
- Willingness to work on-site in Lexington, KY
- Ability to travel as required
- U.S. military veteran
- Experience in or selling to the Special Operations Community
- Established DoW or federal network
- Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance
